From Nancy, we took a day trip by train to Metz....

This is St. Martin Cathedral. Inside there are two different types of architecture.... four Romanesque pillars opening up to a lofty gothic nave.

This is St. Etienne..........

After Nancy, we rented a great little apartment in Paris for a week.

Peter and David were the "Worthy Map Readers" and never led Carol nor I astray!

Peter thinks he might try exhibiting his fruit this way in the fall.........

We met up with Val and Galina in Paris and had a great time showing them around...........

Peter and Carol in the Louvre......

The Medici Fountain in Luxembourg Gardens..........

Galina and Val with Notre Dame in the background.......

We found this little museum dedicated to a Russian sculptor named Ossip Zadkine. This stature reminds me of Peter during harvest when the pickers missed the top of the tree.

Galina and Val spotted this Russian grocery store. We went inside, and Peter enjoyed listening to them speak their native language......

From Paris, we did another day trip by train to Amiens.....

........this is their cathedral.

Carol standing on a private bridge in the St. Leu Quarter of the Amiens Canal.

On Saturday, we saw our friends Carole, Jean-Marc and Chanaƫl....

We all walked to the Popidou Center which was just a few blocks from our apartment....

We got to see our friend Hugues twice........ Hugues is coming to visit us at our farm in August!

I don't know what happened with this picture, but I like it.........

Some of the stairs leading up to Montmartre.......

The Moulin de la Galette at night.........

Our last day and night in Paris,..it did not rain!!

.........the Louvre

Our last walk along the Seine.......

We have some serious computer problems, and I have not been able to post any pictures from our trip to France. Hopefully, John can rebuild our hard drive; and I will soon be on line again. Here are three pictures that I managed to post from my computer at work.

Skiing Easter Weekend....

I was skiing by myself in Vermont this past weekend. This was the best I could do to document skiing on April 7th!!

We were visiting Peter's brother Gordon and his wife Mary....

This is their cat Lucy........

John and Matthew's new chicken coop!!!

Norm built it for them, and everybody calls it the "Coop de Ville".

At night, they huddle under a special light to keep warm....

This rooster kept his eye on me and followed me the whole time I was taking pictures......

They trailered their new boat to Ft.Meyer's Beach where they will stay the month of March. Check out this sunset out their back door! In April and May, they are motoring up the inland waterways back to Connecticut. To follow them on their journey, here is their blog site: www.lindaandken.blogspot.com

The Washington Monument........

The Holocaust Museum was very sobering.......

On vacation, Peter always has a map in his hand.

The Capitol Building.....

We always think about Bubba when we see lion statues..........

The back side of the White House...

The ceilings of the Washington Metro......

Peter can always find something French where ever he goes.........

Peter opened his fortune cookie, and this is what he read......how true after spending three days in art museums.......
