My bird feeder was very busy this morning..........

Linda, Ken and I went for a walk on the bog behind their house......it was such a beautiful day!

We had some surprise visitors this weekend.......

Frances's flight to Portland, Maine from New York got delayed.... So she came up to CT and Pat came down from Rockport for an impromptu day together.

......and Bruce brought Sophie over to meet us........

In all the years I have had a bird feeder outside my kitchen window, I have never seen a crow come to dine!

It's too cold for Jake outside......so if he can't sleep in the dirt outside, he finds the next best thing inside!

Chris is 50 years old today, and his father gave him a chicken hat!!

Chris, Cindy, Betsy, Priscilla, Matthew and Bob all have birthdays in January.

Norm had a turn wearing the poultry!!

Chris's father, Vic, flew up from North Caroline to celebrate with him.

It's not much.....but it is our first snow.

Today is Tim's 24th birthday............

We celebrated New Year's Eve and Andy's birthday at Bree and Alex's house.

Bree and Alex have a new "rag doll" kitten. He came from Idaho and his eyes are blue... hence his name 'Idaho Blue'. He really is friendly.....he loves to be in your lap and be passed around. I think they are called rag doll cats because he is so limp when you hold him....almost like he has no bone structure.
