I wanted Bob Marshall to cut these birches down. He wouldn't do it ("woodman spare that tree") and he got a lot of support in the neighborhood. Looking at these pictures I have to admit that I was wrong and it was a good thing that I was overruled. I just hate to see my apple trees get shaded.
